Learning and Teaching Performance FundThe Learning and Teaching Performance Fund (LTPF) was announced in 2003 as part of the Australian Government’s Our Universities: Backing Australia’s Future initiative. The purpose of the fund is to reward higher education providers that best demonstrate excellence in learning and teaching. Funding of $54.4 million in 2006, increasing to approximately $82 million in 2007 and $109 million in 2008 will be allocated as part of the Government’s renewed focus on teaching quality in Australian Universities. The first round of the 2006 Learning and Teaching Performance Fund was conducted in 2005 for funding in 2006 with fourteen universities receiving a share of approximately $54.4 million in funding. Monash University received $4.591 million. $4million of this money was distributed to faculties to provide support for learning and teaching. Performance on the Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ), the Graduate Destination Survey (GDS) and progression and completion rates are directly linked to the funding. |
